Looking for Patterns

In mathematics, we have been focusing on patterning.  The students have been using various manipulatives including pattern tiles and toothpicks, in order to demonstrate their understanding of the classroom material.  We have looked at growing, shrinking and repeating patterns, and demonstrated our knowledge by creating tables of values and graphs showing linear patterns.  

Each new school day begins with math-based games and activities that practice skills and get the students familiar with using hand-held manipulatives to solve problems.
