Making Sense of Canada

Through our social studies program, the grade 6s are currently focusing on Canada's connections to the world, including through international trade. 

In their history program, the grade 7s are examining New France and British North America, including the complex relationships between Europeans and the Indigenous peoples living in what is now Canada.  A major part of this relationship included the fur trade.  

Here the students are completing social studies reading tasks on the computer.
