Math Focus Shifts to Integers

The students have been introduced (reintroduced for some) to integers, which are whole numbers that can either be below 0 (think thermometre) or above zero.  An example could be an elevator that goes below ground level to get to a parking garage.  It could also be a bank account after money has been withdrawn.

As part of the dance strand of the Ontario arts curriculum, the students, within small groups, are planning, choreographing, practicing and performing dances to selections of music chosen by each group.
