Coding, Finances and Percent - A Lot Going on in Math

The students have been working on digital coding through a website called the Hour of Code.  Through this they add and manipulate coding blocks to create a variety of characters, movements, backgrounds and effects.  A couple of students also worked with our 'Bee-Bot' coding robots.  Check out the video below.

We are also into a unit on financial literacy where the students are creating budgets for a mock fundraiser.  We are also looking at percent, and how it relates to fractions, ratios and decimals.
