6/7-Lers Set to Hit the Ice at the Madoc Arena

Student in 6/7-L will be heading to the arena this Thursday, February 29th.  We are set to arrive at the rink at 11:45, with blades hitting the ice at 12:00 for a 45 minute skate.  We expect to be back at the school shortly after 1:00.  Several parents have graciously offered to volunteer on the trip.  We really appreciate it; trips like this would not be possible without your help.  We will meet you at the arena at 11:45.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Upper Canada Stone Company, our generous sponsor for the event, and to Mr. Harvey who organizes our skating trips each year.  We have a second trip to the rink set for March 5th.

Following Board policy, students who are in grade 6 and under are required to wear helmets when they skate.  Helmets are optional for Grade 7 and 8 students who have skating experience.

If any students require skates or helmets, they should let me know ASAP as we have access to equipment courtesy of the Bruce Lee hockey league.
