Building a House of Cards

The grade 6s continue their examination of flight, which includes taking a look at the four forces required for flight.  We're also looking at how lift is achieved in things like hot air balloons, blimps, kites and animals.

The grade 7s are examining various types of structures and the forces, internal and external, that could affect the stability of a structure.

Both grades participated in an activity where they were to build a pyramid or other structure using playing cards.  It was a lot harder than I thought!
