They Are Dancing Machines in 6/7-L

One of the curriculuar areas we plan on spending some time on this term is dance.  As an introduction to this form of art, we played a game where students have just a few seconds to come up with a dance move to a specific piece of music and then present it within a small group.  To see a short video, click HERE.




The students also enjoy participating in improvisation activites such as
this one, where Abby is pretending to be on a cell phone during a tornado.

As part of the dance strand of the Ontario arts curriculum, the students, within small groups, are planning, choreographing, practicing and performing dances to selections of music chosen by each group.
